Healthy Bones with Yoga

After the age of 30 we slowly begin to lose muscle strength, muscle mass and bone density. Interesting that most people only begin to think about muscle weakness and bone loss when 'they're older.' To live a healthier independent life, we need to focus on creating and maintaining overall strength, flexibility, mobility and balance. This yoga program is a 6 week series designed to help strengthen the bones. As a consequence, the body will improve it's Range of Motion. Flexibility and balance will be positively impacted. A feeling of reduced stress and improved sense of well being may be experienced. This is a great program for those who have been diagnosed with Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. If you are under a doctor's care, please seek their approval prior to starting this program. As with all movements, work at your own pace.
